These bike shorts provide excellent riding comfort by reducing chaffing with their lightweight pad, and they look great off the bike as well. They are so comfortable that they are suitable for hiking, and they dry so quickly that you can wear them swimming. These bike shorts are incredibly durable, and made to last!

Touring Shorts were originally designed for the cyclist that doesn’t like the look or feel of the traditional form-fitting stretchy Lycra bike shorts, and wants a bike shorts he can feel comfortable wearing in public. The Touring Shorts are a boxer-style design, and therefore a little more presentable for wearing shopping, dining, etc. Touring Shorts can also be worn over our Lycra Short for added cushion.

We get calls weekly from customers whose Touring Shorts have started to show some wear after five or more years, and they are hoping we still make them, because they want to order another pair (or two). We also have customers who order multiple pair of Touring Shorts to wear on bicycle tours. One customer recently ordered a pair to wear in his cycling class at the gym, and he liked them so much that he wore them all day long. Then he bought six more pair so that he would have one pair of bike shorts for every day of the week!

• Nylon Taslan, a laundered, textured nylon that is soft, lightweight, very durable, colorfast, and quick drying; retains its properties through years of repeated laundering; Taslan doesn’t retain moisture like cotton does, so won’t chaff your skin
• Double sided wicking fleece pad is soft and comfortable and provides protection in the saddle area. It wicks moisture away from the body so you stay dry. Flat stitching in these bike shorts makes the pad almost unnoticeable when you’re off the bike
• Wide elastic waistband has a waist tie that allows adjustability for maximum fit and comfort
• Two large zippered side cargo pockets for storing maps, small tools, snacks, and small critters
